License agreement for anti-counterfeiting product

Haydale (AIM: HAYD), the global advanced materials group, is pleased to announce the signing of an exclusive license agreement ("the Agreement") between Haydale Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. ("HTT") and TKS Siampress Management Co., Ltd ("TKS"). The Agreement is for TKS over an initial 3 years and 3 months to access and use the patented anti-counterfeiting technology ("PATit") in commercial applications on an exclusive basis in Thailand and one other territory to be decided by the parties.
The Agreement requires TKS to pay an upfront license fee for grant of the license, payable in three tranches within 120 days of the Agreement. Additionally, the Agreement includes payment of a research service fee due in two payments within 45 days of signing the Agreement for provision of a speciality capacitance ink as part of the anti-counterfeiting technology.
The special bespoke ink that HTT will develop for TKS and deliver on an exclusive basis in applications will be commercially based on prices yet to be agreed.

PATit is a unique patented technology that uses graphene inks to print a specific pattern for a customer, that produces a capacitance reading. This data is uploaded to a secure server that is downloaded by a paying customer into a smart reader. The product is printed with the special capacitance print and upon touching the smart reader it compares the results. If the reading matches then the smart reader confirms authenticity.
